My mom was ready for a new dog. She likes Welsh Corgis and I convinced her to see if there were any mixes or other small dogs at the Humane Society that she might like. When we got there, we found a scrappy, undernourished corgi and my mom was signing the papers in about 5 minutes. Pixie is very happy to find a home and my mom is very happy with the new addition. Bottom line: if you want a pet, come here first because these pets need homes and are very cute and lovable.
Pros: Good critters
Cons: Location

We adopted our kitty from this shelter in October of 2009, and they were wonderful to him and to us. They have a great staff that really cares about the animals and dedicated volunteers that spend time socializing the animals so they make better pets. My little guy is precious and is now a member of the family. They are in a state of the art shelter now, but still need donations and volunteers. I am a volunteer there now and really enjoy it.

My first visit to DFW Humane Society was to donate items from their WISH LIST - the staff was so kind and helpful. They are loving with the animals and do a great job. Please Adopt from this shelter and check out the WISH list on the website. www.dfwhumane.com - they need your help!!
